Because Tuesday July 23rd is the next meeting of the Southwest Florida Magician Association!
This month is all about MAGIC with MONEY. We want to see your favorite magic effects using money. From coin tricks to bill switches, pen-thru-bill to Miser’s Dream! And don’t forget to bring along a couple items to sell. We’ll also have some magic news and our raffle.

Thank you to all the magi who made the trek to Naples last night for our July meeting! We had it all last night; a good turnout, laughs, camaraderie, a drawing, a jar of moonshine (you had to be there), and a lot of money magic!
The performers tonight really put on a show. David showed off a modern twist on the old Bill Tube. John Hornswoggled us all. New member Jay made a coin appear between my empty hands! Frank made money magically appear with some creative accounting. Tony got digital with some Bitcoin magic. Gretchen schooled us in how to make your money grow. El Presidente squeezed Cal through a hole in a Japanese Yen. Tom made a coin vanish and reappear inside a rolled up bill! And Johan brought us back to reality with a strong piece of card magic.
David reports that our drive to get SAM and IBM members is going well, but we still need more members of these international orgs to regain our standing as an IBM Ring and a SAM Assembly. If you are a member of SAM or IBM, please contact David at [email protected] so he can add your name.
We are working on getting the Master of Levitation Dirk Losander as a lecturer in September. I have seen Losander live several times and I am always blown away by how impossible yet accessible his magic is. Details to follow.
We will be performing at the Downtown Fort Myers Art Walk next Friday, August 2nd. The event runs from 5:00pm to 9:00pm on First Street in Fort Myers. A couple of our regular performers can’t make it, so I need some members to step in and help us make a good showing for the club. I’ll have more details out to you as soon as I have confirmed the location of our tent.
And finally, our next Zoom meeting is on Tuesday August 13. Our next physical meeting is Tuesday August 27th.
